Who are we?
Central Virginia Youth Wrestling Association in Lynchburg Virginia (CVYWA) is a 501(c)(3) organization with the mission to promote the sport of amateur wrestling in Central Virginia. Our goal is to encourage good sportsmanship and stimulate a spirit of community in support of wrestling. Our organization:
- Provides a central clearing house for coaches, wrestling clubs and schools so each receives the same information and voice in the activities and growth of this organization.
- Provides the community with local club contact information so parents can locate a local club that meets their needs.
- Provides a local source for wrestling events.
- Assists with wrestling tournaments by providing staff, information, etc., as needed.
- Promotes the sport through multi-media outlets.
- Encourages sportsmanship at all levels including wrestlers, coaches, staff, parents and spectators.
- Provides out-of-season practice, clinics and tournament opportunities for wrestlers and coaches through the Virginia Gold Wrestling club.
